Hitler Youth

An interesting book about all the young followers of Hitler, how they became what they were, what they did and what became of them when Hitler fell. 

Organization: The author starts with a foreword explaining that the book will not be about Hitler’s youth, which to be honest I thought it was at first, but about the youth who followed him. She also includes an introduction showing how the Hitler Youth group gained some recognition and the beginning of it all. As the chapters begin and continue, they are in chronological order beginning how they reacted to Hitler’s rise to power, to their education, how they became ruthless with the Jews, how they prepared for war, the resistance and the effects fall of the Hitler Youth.

Accuracy: The book was a timeline of the Hitler Youth, it included quote sources, bibliographies. The opinions and feelings were the reactions people who were in the book.

Design: The multiple photographs added fantastic and realistic visuals to all the information provided. It makes the book much easier to understand, with the help of the captions as well. They were placed with the appropriate text.
