Stephanie/Valkyrie is a girl who just lost her uncle and throughout the story continues to surprise those around her with how tough and smart she is. She is a feisty and some may say hard-headed which is why she is constantly bumping heads with Skulduggery who is very similar to her and possesses the same characteristics as her uncle.
I became lost in the story of trying to find out what really happened to Stephanie’s uncle and Skulduggery while also being trapped under China’s hold until she picks a new name and finally is free. The entire story has many twists and turns, the suspense is through the roof at times, but nonetheless it all ends as it should.
